Assessment

A detailed assessment of existing code is the backbone and start of any CodeSalvage engagement. However, we do offer this service as a standalone product. An assessment is essential if you try to decide what parts of a web site to keep and which to replace. A CodeSalvage assessment should be part of your due diligence if you are planning to buy an existing web site.
A complete assessment will start with a functional documentation describing various features of the web site and how they are implemented. Each part will then be ranked based on it's maintainability, scalability and quality. We will consider other factors based on application specific requirements you define. Existing documentation will be compared to the actual state of the site.

This assessment will provide the foundation for future maintenance and expansion, which can either be performed by a third party, your in house development team, or CodeSalvage.
